You will now be able to simulate Hololens input with mouse and keyboard. If you don't have a Xbox controller, turn off the Emulation Mode by setting it to None. You might then "walk around"(Body movements) with your left stick and "Look around"(Head movements) with your right stick when you are running your scene. This should enable you to use a Xbox controller to simulate input from the Hololens.
